High-Level Conference "Re-Thinking the Fundamentals’ Cluster Benchmarks for Ukraine: Expert proposals from Ukrainian civil society" 21.02.2024 Brussels

The conference «Re-thinking the fundamentals cluster benchmarks for Ukraine: expert proposals from Ukrainian civil society» will be held on February 21 from 10 in the  European Economic and Social Committee - Rue Van Maerlant building (VMA), which is located at the address: Rue Van Maerlant 2, Brussels. 

Against the backdrop of the preparation for opening accession talks between EU and Ukraine, the conference is considered to trigger the discussion amid the key stakeholders that will be involved into development of the negotiation framework for Ukraine about re-considering the approach to setting the benchmarks for Ukraine in the Fundamentals cluster.
The agenda will be focused around the key lessons of the selected Western Balkans countries in reaching their Fundamentals benchmarks and preliminary conclusions of joint research of Ukrainian CSOs regarding the optimal set of benchmarks for Ukraine given its specific context and realistic pathway of the relevant reforms.
