It is organized by Eleonora Ceia and Daniel Edler. The compilation consists of two parts. The first part focuses on the use of facial recognition technologies and the related aspects for public security, their application in the private sector and in public administration in Brazil. The second part focuses on legislation and current normative challenges. Aspects such as data protection, responsibilities of the different levels of government and the lessons of European legislation for Brazil are highlighted.
