17th Meeting of the Brazilian Public Security Forum - Foundation Office Brazil
Expert conference
Details
The diagnoses and the information available on the scenario of violence and public security in the Amazon indicate that the capacities and inter-institutional arrangements of the public security forces and environmental control in the region have not been sufficient to cope with the advance of organized crime that grows in the region, whether concerning drug trafficking, environmental crimes, or the intersections of these two universes. In this sense, the fundamental right to public security will only be effective when environmental crimes are internalized as a priority focus of police institutions and other agencies involved in the enforcement of public security. This year, the Brazilian Public Security Forum Meeting is supported by KAS Brasil and will have as its central theme the issue of violence and public security in the Amazon region.
The event will have an extensive program between June 20 and 22, at the Hangar de Convenções e Feiras da Amazônia. To register, click here. The forum will be held in Portuguese only.
