Public Policies for Innovation in Jordan: Realities and Ambitions

Foreword by HRH Prince el Hassan bin Talal

These policy papers are part of the project entitled «Public Policies for Innovation in Jordan: Realities and Ambitions» implemented jointly by the West Asia-North Africa Institute (WANA) and the Konrad-Adenauer- Stiftung (KAS) – Jordan Office. The project aims to raise awareness on the issues of importance and priority that Jordan must address in 2022 from a non-governmental perspective, cementing the culture of informing and enhancing the exchange of knowledge that can influence public policies in Jordan.

We believe that the path of reform can only succeed if the voice of youth is included in the public and political debate. Therefore, together with the West Asia and North Africa Institute (WANA), KAS has undertaken the effort to provide tools and training for young professionals from Jordan to increase their analytical capacity and to help them in formulating and communicating their ideas.

We are proud that in the third year in a row, a cohort of talented youth finished the program and that we can publish their articles in the below booklet. In this edition, we focus on “innovation”, as we believe that fresh ideas and new approaches are needed, including on how to design and implement public policies, to deal with the complex reality we are facing today.

The booklet can be viewed and downloaded on the right side of the page.
