Conducted between 11 and 24 August 2026, the survey draws on a nationally representative sample of 1,833 Jordanians aged 18 and above, alongside 163 public opinion elites.
The findings show a continued decline in interest in politics: 30.4% of respondents expressed an interest in politics, compared with 33.3% in 2024 and 45.5% in 2019. Trust in political parties remains limited, with only 18.8% expressing some degree of trust, while 59% do not believe that any political party represents their interests. Looking ahead, 62% of respondents intend or are likely to vote in the 2027 municipal elections.
The survey highlights persistent challenges to political participation, including limited trust, accountability concerns and the perception that participation does not lead to meaningful change. Its findings point to the need to strengthen political parties, improve communication between elected representatives and citizens, and expand opportunities for women, young people, and persons with disabilities to participate in political life.
