The study examines the resilience of Jordan’s agri-food system in the context of the country’s national development priorities and the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV) 2022–2033. It identifies key vulnerabilities and challenges affecting the system, while highlighting opportunities to strengthen resilience, improve resource management, and support sustainable development.

The event brought together policymakers, experts, researchers, and representatives from the public and private sectors working on agriculture, food security, economic development, and related fields. Through two interactive discussion sessions, participants had the opportunity to engage with the study’s findings, share their perspectives, and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Jordan’s agri-food system.

The first session focused on the main findings of the diagnostic study, addressing issues related to food security, agricultural production, resource management, and the resilience of the agri-food system. The discussion encouraged an exchange of views between experts and practitioners, highlighting the importance of coordinated approaches and proactive measures to strengthen the system’s ability to respond to future challenges.

The second session explored agricultural landholdings and their implications for the agricultural sector and food security. The discussion brought together perspectives from relevant public institutions and sector representatives, allowing participants to examine existing challenges and consider possible approaches to improving the management and sustainability of agricultural holdings.

The discussions throughout the event emphasised the importance of proactive planning, evidence-based policymaking, cooperation between public and private stakeholders, and the effective use of research and data in strengthening Jordan’s food and agricultural resilience.

The event concluded with an open networking session, providing participants with an opportunity to continue the exchange of ideas, establish connections, and discuss potential avenues for further cooperation. The launch of the study marks an important step towards advancing research and dialogue on sustainable development, innovation, resource management, and resilience in Jordan.
