KAS and JCCE revised the Civic Education Textbook for Teachers, “Ana Muwaten (I Am a Citizen),” in 2025. This new version, which expands on the concepts and creative activities introduced in the original textbook, will be distributed among the teachers attending the workshops, as well as their colleagues.
During her welcoming remarks at the first Training of Teachers workshop, Veronika Ertl, Resident Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Jordan, thanked long-standing KAS partner, JCCE director Mona Al Alami, for her commitment to education. She also thanked the participating teachers for their crucial role in helping students become active citizens. On the second day, Dr. Asma Al Sharab, Head of the Humanities Department at the Curriculum Administration (MoE), and Social Studies Curriculum Development Coordinator at the NCCD, answered the participants’ questions about the revised social studies curriculum and committed to work on solving any problems they presented regarding the revised textbooks.
