High-level representatives from the country and abroad, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of academia, students, and other relevant stakeholders will discuss current developments within the European Union, with a special focus on EU enlargement, the new geopolitical challenges facing Europe, and North Macedonia’s perspectives in that context.
The keynote address at the event will be delivered by Afrim Gashi, President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia.
As part of the panel discussion titled “From Vision to Geopolitical Response: Reassessing EU Enlargement in a New Geopolitical Era”, the following speakers will address the audience and participate in the discussion:

Steffen Hudolin, Head of Cooperation in the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of North Macedonia
Peter Hefele, Policy Director, Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies
Bekim Sali, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affair
Antonijo Miloshoski, Vice Presidents of the Assembly / Chairperson of the Committee on European affairs
Venko Filipce, President of the National Council for European Integration
The event will be opened by Mileva Gjurovska, President of the European Movement in the Republic of North Macedonia; Daniel Braun, Official Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Peter Hefele, Policy Director, Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.
The discussion will be moderated by Katerina Sinadinovska, Editor of the TV Magazine “Agenda 35”.
Within the framework of the event, the Plaque for the European Person of the Year 2025 will also be awarded.
A cocktail reception is scheduled following the panel discussion and the awarding of the Plaque for the European Person of the Year.
The second part of the event will be organized as a Youth Club under the title: “Youth and Digital Europe: From Followers to Leaders”. Within the youth programme, a debate will be held with introductory remarks by Dragana Bojkovska, MP (VMRO-DPMNE) / Coordinator of the Parliamentary Club on Youth Affairs and Policies; Monika Zajkova, MP from the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP); Ana Mihajlov, Director of the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility and Konstantin Minoski, Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University – Skopje.
Within the Youth Club, an oratory competition with the participation of students from several universities in North Macedonia, as well as an EU Knowledge Quiz with participation of high school students will be also organized. At the end of the event, awards will be presented to the best participants in the oratory competition and the quiz.
The working languages of the event are Macedonian, Albanian and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
