The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) was pleased to welcome 18 scholarship holders of the Cusanuswerk on Saturday, 9 April 2016. The program organized by KAS focused, in addition to several talks about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, on the visit of Taybeh, a Christian Palestinian village with biblical importance in the West Bank.

Perspectives on East Jerusalem

The office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in the Palestinian Territories received a group of KAS- scholarship holders and scholarship holders of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk (ELES) from Germany on the 2nd March 2016. Within the Study and Information program "Seeing equals Understanding" the group spend one day in East Jerusalem. The visit focused on the political, humanitarian and legal situation of the Palestinian population with particular regard to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Group of Women in the CDU/CSU faction of the German Parliament


The Konrad-Adenauer foundation received fourteen members of the group of women in the CDU/CSU faction of the German Parliament on 3rd February 2016 in the Palestinian territories. The visit focused on the exchange with representatives of Palestinian politics, economy and civil society regarding the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the role of woman in the Palestinian Territories.

The UN Independent Commission of Inquiry to investigate violations of international humanitarian and human rights laws

On 19 August 2014, the Institute of Law (IoL) at Birzeit University in cooperation with the Ibrahim Abu Lughod Institute of International Studies and Human Rights and the International Humanitarian Law Secretariat in the oPt organized a Legal Encounter at Birzeit University.

KAS Day 2014

On June 12th, KAS Ramallah celebrated the annual KAS Day in the Palestinian Territories. Around 100 people joined this year’s event, which was held under the motto “Turn of Eras – The Agenda of the Future”.

Conference on the Rule of Law in the Palestinian Territories

The ongoing political separation between Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Fatah in the West Bank has significant institutional impacts and is directly affecting the constitutional system in the Palestinian Territories. In consideration of the current political approach between the two parties and the formation of a unity government, this topic has come to the fore again and gave reason to a one-day conference co-organised by the KAS Ramallah.
