PalVision's project 'Sijal' conducts an opinion survey on election participation in East Jerusalem
The project equipped targeted Jerusalemite youth with knowledge, skills and tools to advocate for their opinions and views publicly. As a result, youth were empowered by undertaking 55 hours of capacity building trainings that focused on political aspects, they were able to present their views and raise awareness on priority issues through designing and implementing one scaled up campaign that focused on improving civil society organizations in Jerusalem, three position papers were written and an opinion survey was organized. Latter opinion survey was conducted regarding Palestinians living in East Jerusalem and their participation in the Municipality elections. The sample size was 254 participants.

PalVision's Project 'Sijal' published three position papers by Jerusalemite Youth
The project equipped targeted Jerusalemite youth with knowledge, skills and tools to advocate for their opinions and views publicly. As a result, youth were empowered by undertaking 55 hours of capacity building trainings that focused on political aspects, they were able to present their views and raise awareness on priority issues through designing and implementing one scaled up campaign that focused on improving civil society organizations in Jerusalem. In addition, three position papers were produced by targeted youth, which aimed to raise awareness about the CSO (civil society organizations) role and find mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the institutions in EJ to enhance transparency and improve their service towards beneficiaries. Three position papers highlighted three main matters: • Sustainable development as an objective to civil society. • Monitoring civil society institutions. • Institutional structure.

The project equipped targeted Jerusalemite youth with knowledge, skills and tools to advocate for their opinions and views publicly. As a result, youth were empowered by undertaking 55 hours of capacity building trainings that focused on political aspects, they were able to present their views and raise awareness on priority issues through designing and implementing one scaled up campaign that focused on improving civil society organizations in Jerusalem, write three position papers, and launch a conference with the attendance of Palestinian and international duty bearers, media, Palestinian youth from EJ, and community members from all around Palestine.
