Details
This project builds on the innovative youth-participatory model, the Youth Deliberation Hackathon last year. It seeks to further address the participation gap experienced by young people in provincial areas, where opportunities to participate in policymaking are considerably more limited than those available to young people living in Bangkok. In this year, Ubon Ratchathani is selected to be the target province.
Ubon Ratchathani was selected due to its combination of low civic participation and pronounced social protection gaps, which makes Ubon Ratchathani a strategic site for a workshop aimed at strengthening youth participation in social protection policy. Hence, this project aims to provide both a safe space and an innovative tool in the form of a board game prototype through which young people in Ubon Ratchathani province can deliberate policy ideas and proposals.
