📚 The training featured a session on deliberative techniques and social protection policies, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ajirapa Pienkhuntod, followed by a hands-on session in which participants experienced the Youth Deliberation format through an interactive board game facilitated by five facilitators. The programme concluded with a reflection session to review the activity and prepare for its future implementation.
Building on last year’s Youth Deliberation Hackathon, the project aims to address the participation gap faced by young people in provincial areas, where opportunities to engage in policymaking are often more limited than those available to young people in Bangkok.
This year, Ubon Ratchathani Province has been selected as the project’s target area, given the challenges surrounding public participation and gaps in social protection. The initiative seeks to establish a safe space where young people can exchange perspectives and develop policy proposals on social protection through creative tools such as board games and inclusive deliberation.
