The program will include plenary sessions and panel discussions covering a broad spectrum of topics. These sessions will emphasize Asia’s growing influence in shaping international law and its initiatives to reinforce legal frameworks across the region. The conference will explore international law through Asian lenses, highlighting the region’s role in its progressive development and codification.
Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the United Nations Charter, the event will also reflect on its enduring impact and the increasing accessibility of international law. Key themes will include urgent maritime concerns, the legal implications of artificial intelligence, and the need for robust legal structures to address emerging technological challenges.
This conference not only marks a significant milestone for AsianSIL, but also represents a meaningful occasion for KAS Vietnam, as it is our first time supporting an event of this kind.
