Bridging the Gap - Security in the Trans-Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific - Foundation Office Vietnam
At the Munich Leaders Meeting, Dr. Pham Lan Dung had the opportunity to actively engage in open and interactive exchanges on current foreign and security policy challenges with a particular focus on the Indo-Pacific. The Munich Leaders Meeting brought together 60 key decision-makers from around the world and was chaired by Ambassador Dr. Christoph Heusgen. The former National Security Advisor of Chancellor Angela Merkel and UN Ambassador of Germany has been appointed chairman of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) last year. In 2022, Dr. Heusgen served as a Fellow of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
The Acting President of the DAV also had the opportunity to visit the Japan Office of KAS and engage in a bilateral exchange with Resident Representative Ms Rabea Brauer, thus further strengthening the close ties between DAV and KAS. Ms Brauer was posted in Hanoi as Resident Representative to Vietnam between 2011 and 2016.
