During his stay, MP Zippelius conducted a series of substantive meetings with key interlocutors. These included discussions with Mr. Simon Kreye, Deputy Head of Mission of the German Embassy in Vietnam, as well as representatives of German institutions operating in Vietnam. In particular, MP Zippelius was officially received by members of the Economic and Financial Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam, where in-depth exchanges took place. Furthermore, meetings with leading think tanks and policy experts provided additional analytical perspectives on Vietnam’s economic and political trends.
The visit offered an important platform for bilateral dialogue on a broad spectrum of issues, notably Germany–Vietnam economic cooperation, development policy priorities and sustainable development initiatives. Discussions also addressed regional and international developments, underscoring shared interests and the relevance of close coordination amid current global challenges.
Overall, the working visit contributed meaningfully to strengthening parliamentary dialogue and deepening mutual understanding between German and Vietnamese stakeholders. The open and constructive exchanges highlighted opportunities for further cooperation, particularly in the areas of parliamentary engagement, policy-oriented research, and academic exchange.
