Sustainability and responsibility

Especially countries in the Global South more vulnerable by both the pandemic and the consequences of climate change. While the EU has published a thorough recovery plan that keeps sustainability in mind, many Southern countries are still lacking vaccines and international aid.

This dialogue deals with focal points of the recovery plan of the European Commission and the responsibility of the EU to engage in a common effort to fight climate change. What implication does the wealth of European member states have on countries in the Global South? How can the EU assist in mitigating consequences while still rebuilding the European economy after the pandemic?

The format of Europadialog connects young adults with speakers to review the topic from different angles. The results will be collected and sent to the offices in Brussels, where they will contribute to the Conference on the future of Europe. The seminar will be held in English and is suitable for young adults up to the age of 28.
