19th Edition of the International Summer School Sarajevo
International Summer School Sarajevo is dedicated to exploring the effect transition had on legal systems of SE European countries regarding their response to human rights challenges which were prevalent in the past. It will focus on transitional justice mechanisms as a holistic tool addressing these issues. ISSS is participant oriented and designed to challenge all of them to engage with the lecturers as well as among themselves. Storytelling Show
On May 29, 2025, Cluj-Napoca’s “Florin Piersic” Cinema hosted our 13th People of Justice storytelling show, drawing 729 attendees. The event featured storytelling, films, poetry, and music, focusing on justice and civic engagement. Guests like criminologist Vlad Zaha and judge Bianca Poptile addressed addiction, minority rights, and misinformation. Launched in 2019, the show inspired hope and courage. We are bringing the show again to Bucharest and other Romanian cities in autumn 2025.
International Justice: Between rule of law and diplomacy

The event brought together legal professionals – including judges, legal advisors, and representatives of the Ombudsman’s Office – alongside civic actors with different professional background. The discussion was on universal jurisdiction, justice, and collective memory.
Strating Point East: on the Path to Peace and Security in Europe
Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Seminar
Between 19 and 24 Mai, The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Berlin) organized a seminar on security strategies in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea. The 25 students from 23 international universities were invited to the headquarter of the KAS Rule of Law Programme Southeast Europe in Bucharest to discuss subjects such as: Historical Pitfalls and Russia's Influence in Romania; Rule of Law and Security in the Black Sea Region; The Unsettled. Communism in Romania - Facts, Memory and Nostalgia; Russian Narratives in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region; Maritime Cybersecurity in the Black Sea Region as well as Current Challenges and Opportunities in the Black Sea Region. We would like to thank the German Marshall Fund Bucharest, Expert Forum, the Maritime University Constanta, Casa Marii Negre, Hans Seidel Foundation, the German Embassy as well as the representatives of the German and Muslim communities in Romania for bringing their input to this seminar, making all discussions informative and insightful.
