The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Malaysia and the Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad Institute of Thoughts (IPDM) of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) are excited to launch the AccelerateHER Leadership Lab, a two-day workshop for women in politics!

 

This immersive two-day program is scheduled to take place at Hotel Raia in Alor Setar on May 5th and 6th, 2024. Tailored for 20 participants, this lab is specifically designed to support women political leaders from Kedah, Perlis, and Perak. 

 

The AccelerateHER Leadership Lab is a pioneering initiative dedicated to raising the trajectory of women's leadership in politics to a more empowered level. It aspires to ignite a surge in momentum, resilience, and robust strategic acumen amongst women in politics, surpassing conventional empowerment approaches. This training program marks a paradigm shift in leadership, meticulously crafted to empower women leaders who lead the charge in shaping national policies. This program will contribute significantly towards enhancing the capacity and impact of women leaders. 

 

The primary objective of this training program is to empower women political leaders to achieve a higher level of influence and make substantial and cohesive impact through leadership development. Furthermore, the program aims to equip participants with systematic and dynamic strategies to navigate the intricate political landscape with agility and wisdom. 

 

Moreover, leadership trainings like these hope to strengthen traits of proactive and sustainable leadership culture, equipping participants to consistently confront challenges and drive excellence in leadership. Consequently, they provide broader opportunities and a space to establish strategic networks to strengthen professional relationships and leverage collective influence. 

 

This session is the first of a three-part series. The second and third sessions are expected to take place in June and July of this year.
