Die Ökumenische Sozialwoche ist traditionell eine Plattform für den offenen Dialog zwischen Vertretern der Kirchen, des staatlichen Sektors, der Zivilgesellschaft, der Wissenschaft und internationaler Partner. Das diesjährige Thema des Forums „Von der Polarisierung zur Solidarität der Gesellschaft: Für eine Kultur der Einheit und Gerechtigkeit“ widmet sich der Suche nach Antworten auf die Herausforderungen der gesellschaftlichen Spaltung unter den Bedingungen des Krieges und des globalen Wandels der Sicherheitsordnung.
Vier Tage lang werden über 200 Teilnehmende aus der Ukraine und dem Ausland darüber diskutieren, wie der gesellschaftliche Zusammenhalt gestärkt, das Vertrauen zwischen verschiedenen Gruppen wiederhergestellt, eine Kultur der Solidarität gefördert und neue Ansätze für eine gerechte Gesellschaftsordnung entwickelt werden können. Zu den Referenten des Forums gehören: Vitali Portnikow, Valeri Pekar, Roman Ketschur, Piotr Kopec und Myroslaw Marynowytsch.
Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die Rolle der Zivilgesellschaft, der Kirchen, des Bildungswesens, der Kultur und der Jugend bei den Prozessen der gesellschaftlichen Konsolidierung gelegt. Die Teilnehmenden werden nach Antworten auf Fragen zu einer neuen Formel für den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt in der Ukraine, zu Mechanismen für den Übergang von Polarisierung zu Solidarität sowie zum Platz der Ukraine bei der Gestaltung der künftigen Architektur der europäischen Sicherheit und der internationalen Partnerschaft suchen.
Das Auslandsbüro der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in der Ukraine fördert das Forum seit 2014 als Plattform für den interdisziplinären Dialog und den Austausch von Ideen zur Förderung demokratischer Werte, gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung und einer Kultur des gegenseitigen Verständnisses

The opening discussion will establish the central framework of the Forum: how can a society marked by war, trauma, and profoundly different experiences move from polarization towards a renewed culture of solidarity — while retaining the courage and capacity to address difficult and painful questions?
