Aware of the success of the transatlantic partnership, the U.S. values a strong, coherent European role in the enforcement of its foreign policy interests. The U.S. is therefore currently looking on with worry at a Europe that not only seems to be struggling with challenges such as the refugee crisis or the Ukraine conflict but is even in danger of becoming destabilized by them.
