Political Parties in the Arab World:
Current Status and Future Prospects
The KAS Amman Office presents a new reference on political reforms in the Arab region with the conference proceedings “Political Parties in the Arab World: Current Status and Future Prospects”. It might be interesting not only for experts to be informed about the current situation and the future development of political parties in this troubled region. The authors concentrate on the regional level as well as on the domestic level in case studies (Jordan, Morocco, Turkey and Iran) in order to deliver a comprehensive insight. This book is recommended as a reference because of its compact presentation of political parties in the region, also Islamic parties are reconsidered. This reference is the product of a conference under the same title, organised by the KAF Amman Office in cooperation with the Al Quds Center for Political Studies in Amman from 12 until 13 June 2004 with a presence of more than 200 participants.
