JugendpolitikTage - Civic Education
Several times a year, young people come to the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s JugendpolitikTagen to find out about current political and social issues, to express their views and to exchange ideas. The first JugendpolitikTage took place in Berlin in 2007; in the meantime there are several events every year with up to 150 participants.
Creative co-design is our most important concern
In workshops, young people can deal with topics such as “The situation of human rights” or “The future of Europe” in the form of films, comics, drawings, escape rooms, newspaper articles, but also in plays, dance choreographies and self-written stories.
During the one or two-day event, they will also meet experts from politics, science, business, culture and sport with whom they can engage in an intensive exchange of experiences and opinions.
Making politics tangible and experienceable
The JugendpolitikTage are conceived, organised and carried out by the Political Education Department of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. It aims to encourage young people to actively engage with current social and political issues, to make politics tangible and experienceable and to contribute to the personal development of the participants. Our goal: to show pupils that active participation and taking responsibility are not only important, but also fun.
