As a result, a hard-fought competition for innovation leadership in digital technologies has broken out between the USA and China. competition also has significant consequences for Europe. In light of this development, a deeper understanding of Chinese digital and technology policy is becoming increasingly important. To develop this much needed knowledge, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung presents a new study that analyzes China's strategic concept of cyber sovereignty and discusses its implications.
Data fuels digital change. The ability to collect, process, and make available ever-increasing amounts of data is the key to innovation and growth. This report is the first in a series surveying seven different Asian territories to deepen understandings of innovation and data policies, and contribute to debates about data governance and data protection.
