Public policies for women, children and young people

The Human Rights Training course, organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in partnership with Kolping Brazil, aims to train and disseminate in-depth knowledge on the subject of human rights in a broad and accessible way. In addition, we seek to debate important issues for the current social context, which impact the lives of millions of people in Brazil and around the world on a daily basis.

The BRICS states must first find their role in order to form a stable partnership with the EU

The association of the growing economies of Brasil, Russia, India, China and South Africa represents 40 percent of the world’s population and, as of now, 25 percent of the world’s gross domestic product. Nevertheless, the chairman of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Elmar Brok, doesn’t see the so-called BRICS states as competitors for Europe. “I am relatively relaxed by the potential threat of the BRICS for Europe”, Brok said at an event organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Berlin.

VI Dia da Democracia

A celebração do VI Dia Internacional da Democracia, realizado pela Fundação Konrad Adenauer, com o apoio do CEBRI , contou com a presença de mais de 180 pessoas. Mit der raschen Verbreitung des Netzwerkes auf der ganzen Welt hat sich auch die Dimension Öffentlichkeit verändert. Diese wurde erweitert um den digitalen Raum. Die neuen Möglichkeiten der rasanten Nachrichten- und Meinungsdiffusion haben dazu beigetragen, dass auch die Strukturen der politischen Partizipation darauf drängen neu definiert zu werden.

XX Forum Brazil-Europe

Comprehensive event report

With the aim of promoting dialogue, the XX Forum Brazil-Europe brought together politicians from Brazil and Europe, representatives of the academic world, as well as diplomats and other government officials. The gathering took place under the premise of “Brazil and the European Union Looking Ahead” on the 4th and 5th of June 2013, in Brasilia. An intense exchange of ideas and views took place between the representatives from both sides of the Atlantic. The event was attended by an audience of over 220 people as well as by several representatives of the national press.
