Neue (Minderheits-) Regierung in den Niederlanden

Kompromissfähigkeit wird zur Schlüsselfrage

Die Niederlande haben mit dem 23. Februar 2026 eine neue Regierung unter der Führung von Ministerpräsident Rob Jetten. Die Minderheitsregierung aus der liberal-progressiven Democraten 66 (D66), der rechtsliberalen Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie (VVD) und dem christdemokratischen Christen-Democratisch Appèl (CDA) wurde 117 Tage nach der Wahl von König Willem-Alexander vereidigt. Mit ihrem Koalitionsvertrag „Aan de slag“ („An die Arbeit“) , einem klar strukturierten Arbeitsprogramm setzt sich die neue Regierung ambitionierte Ziele: innenpolitisch reformorientiert und investitionsbereit in den Bereichen Wirtschaft und Verteidigung - außenpolitisch klar proeuropäisch. Nun muss das „Kabinett Jetten“ beweisen, dass es auch ohne eigene parlamentarische Mehrheit in politisch polarisierten Zeiten Mehrheiten für seine Vorhaben gewinnen kann. Viel Erfahrung mit Minderheitsregierungen haben die Niederlande nicht – doch das „Experiment“ birgt zumindest die Chance, mit Parteien der politischen Mitte die politische Paralyse, die der Rechtspopulist Geert Wilders hinterlassen hat, zu überwinden und die drängenden innen- und außenpolitischen Herausforderungen anzugehen.
