In 2014, Afghanistan experienced a year of destiny: After the completion of the transition phase, the end of the mission of the International Security Assistance Force and the presidential elections, it is time to take stock. Although since the end of Taliban rule improvements have been achieved in terms of basic health care, education and state-building, the new Afghan government has still a lot to accomplish.
