The conflict in Syria is in its fifth year and no political or diplomatic breakthrough seems to be in sight. More than 4.086.760 people have already fled the country and with the war further escalating, more and more are pushed to seek refuge - mainly in the countries neighboring Syria. Globally one in five refugees is Syrian and until a durable peace settlement has been negotiated, the numbers of Syrian refugees worldwide will further rise.
