Wirtschaftsforum: Steuerreform in Malawi - welche Konsequenzen für Wirtschaft und Entwicklung?

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is pleased to announce the public economic forum on “Taxation reforms in Malawi: Impacts on the Economy” to be held at Crossroads Hotel Auditorium room, on Thursday, 1st March 2012, from 17:30 to 20:00 pm.

Co-hosted with the Economic Association of Malawi (ECAMA) and the Malawi Economic Justice Network (MEJN), the seminar has been organized in order to analyze the impact of past and current tax reforms on the economy and providing recommendations for efficient and effective means of government revenue generation and collection. It is hoped that the outcomes from this seminar will feed into the Government’s 2012/13 Budget formulation processes.

The forum will be opened by H.E. Peter Woeste, Ambassador of the Republic of Germany in Malawi. Speakers for this event include Professor Ben Kalua, an economist from Chancellor College, Mr. Crosby Mafingano Phiri from Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) and Mr. Chancellor Kaferapanjira from Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI)
