Kommunalwahlen im Senegal

Die Opposition gewinnt in wichtigen Städten

Am Sonntag, den 23.01.2022, haben im Senegal rund 6,6 Millionen Wähler, darunter 250.000 Erstwähler, 553 neue Bürgermeister, 5 Oberbürgermeister und 44 Kreispräsidenten weitestgehend friedlich gewählt. Die Kommunalwahl, ursprünglich für 2020 geplant und zweimal wegen der COVID-Pandemie verschoben, gilt insbesondere in den Städten Dakar und Ziguinchor als Gradmesser für die im Jahr 2024 stattfindende Präsidentschaftswahl.
