El pasado 6 de junio culminó el proceso electoral más grande e importante que ha tenido este país en su historia. El voto que la ciudadanía emitió expresó claramente lo que espera de su clase política los próximo tres y seis años, al mismo tiempo que marcó una posible tendencia de lo que puede pasar en la elección presidencial del 2024. Este nuevo panorama político no ha pasado desapercibido por el presidente de la República y su equipo ni por los diferentes grupos de oposición que buscan competir contra Morena. Ambas partes empiezan a calentar motores para iniciar una batalla campal que dejará a varios en el camino, mientras el ciudadano estará sentado en la comodidad de su hogar observando la misma película de cada seis años.

Illegal migration as a political weapon

About the situation on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border

The Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko has repeatedly threatened the EU to allow refugees from war zones to enter the EU in response to the sanctions imposed on his country. The main target is Lithuania, which has an almost 680 kilometer long and mostly unprotected border with Belarus. The increase in illegal migrant flows from Iraq and African countries is actively promoted by the Belarusian regime. According to Ylva Johansson, the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs, this is not just a migration crisis, but an act of aggression aimed at destabilization.
