Éditée par l’équipe de la Fondation Konrad Adenauer en Algérie et son partenaire l’Association des journalistes du Constantinois , AJC, la revue ‘’Regard'Algérie’’ dans son numéro de décembre 2020, a été consacrée à la coopération algéro-allemande. Arguant d’une relation économique en plein essor, cette coopération se consolide de plus en plus pour être à la hauteur des ambitions des deux pays d’ailleurs, on y voit plus clair dans des projets concrets pesés et repesés pour en extraire juste ce dont on a besoin.

Abgeschottet von der Außenwelt und vor dem Hintergrund einer Drohkulisse, die die Menschen um ihre körperliche Unversehrtheit fürchten ließ, fanden in Uganda am 14. Januar 2021 die Präsidentschafts- und Parlamentswahlen statt. Der friedliche und ruhige Wahltag, wie ihn die meisten Wähler beschreiben, darf nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass die Wahl weder frei, fair noch glaubwürdig war. Während der seit 34 Jahren amtierende Präsident Yoweri Museveni im Amt bleibt und bereits am Abend des 16. Januar nach der Verkündung des Wahlergebnisses, seine erste öffentliche Rede halten konnte, wird sein wichtigster Kontrahent, Robert Kyagulanyi, international besser bekannt als Bobi Wine, immer noch in seinem Haus festgehalten und von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten.

Both Ukraine and Moldova held important elections in late 2020 with local councils all over Ukraine and the presidential office in Chisinau in play. At the same time, the two countries are facing major common challenges in their political and economic systems, struggling with difficult reforms, corruption, polarized societies and more or less frozen conflicts on their territories. This paper seeks to analyze the election campaigns, the vote itself and its consequences for the outlook in both Ukraine and Moldova.

Warum wird es nicht besser?

Die Bilder aus Bosnien weisen auf die furchtbare Situation von Migranten hin, die mitten im Winter zum Teil nicht in befestigten Lagern oder Unterkünften, sondern in improvisierten Zelten in Wäldern nahe der kroatischen Grenze – einer EU-Außengrenze – leben. Gerade die Auflösung des Zeltlagers Lipa durch die Internationale Organisation für Migration (IOM) aufgrund der fehlenden Standards des Lagers hat Fragen aufgeworfen. Schließlich hat die Europäische Union in den vergangenen drei Jahren über 88 Millionen Euro in die Verbesserung der Situation investiert, auch einzelne EU-Staaten, wie Deutschland, haben die bosnischen Behörden unterstützt und wichtige internationale Hilfsorganisationen, wie die IOM, sind im Land tätig. Trotzdem scheint das Problem nicht gelöst, die Lage der Menschen nicht verbessert. Warum ist das so?
