Curso de Direitos Humanos

Com o objetivo de desenvolver conhecimentos sobre Direitos Humanos no Brasil para um público amplo e de forma gratuita, a Fundação Konrad Adenauer, em parceria com o Centro Internacional de Direito Internacional – CEDIN, realizou no ano passado o I Curso de Formação prático-aplicada em Direitos Humanos no contexto brasileiro. É com muito prazer que gostaríamos de convidar todos aqueles que tem interesse em se aprofundar no tema e não conseguiram se inscrever no ano passado para assistir às aulas do curso que estão disponíveis gratuitamente a partir dos links abaixo. Política por inteiro - Analysis

Monitoring of Brazilian environmental policy

The "Política por Inteiro" project, with support from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Brazil, launches another outlook of the signals detected in the monitoring of Brazilian environmental policy. "Política por Inteiro" aims to provide a reliable, recurring and comparable data base on public policy signals and propositions in the environmental area in a "friendly" format and with credible data, and that creates a common "memory" about national decisions. Through the monitoring of government actions and rhetoric, systematic analysis of the situation and associated risks and the production and dissemination of information, it is intended to provide a tool to identify signals, interpret trends and consolidate them in an aggregate manner, using data science to inform citizens, advocacy networks and decision makers themselves. Every month there are also online events for the analysis of the situation. Publikation zum Wiener Dialog

In welchen Bereichen der Europapolitik gibt es spezielle Potenziale für eine deutsch-österreichische Kooperation? In einem Artikel unter Mitarbeit von Claudia Crawford, Michael Stellwag und Livia Puglisi gemeinsam mit dem Jean-Monnet-Lehrstuhl für Europäische Politik der Uni Passau wurden einige Bereiche identifiziert. Hintergrund war die Erarbeitung von Papieren für den ersten „Wiener Dialog zur Zukunft Europas“, der im November 2020 in Wien stattfinden sollte. Der Fokus liegt auf bestimmten Politikfeldern, in denen die Länder ähnliche Positionen vertreten. Mit den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen soll die österreichisch-deutsche Partnerschaft für gemeinsame Initiativen in der EU unterstützt werden.

Currently, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia holds the presidency of the G20 and will host the G20 summit on November 21 and 22. In the course of a visit to Berlin, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, took part in a digital round table discussion at KAS with political decision makers and experts on Friday. In addition to the Saudi G20 Presidency, the main topics were current developments in the Gulf and the role of Europe in the region.

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s regional program, Regional Economic Programme Asia (SOPAS), has conducted this research, “COVID-19 and the Future of Doing Business in Asia” jointly with the Asian Institute of Management Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness (AIM RSN PCC) to outline how the “new normal” will look like. Asia’s resilience to the shocks brought about by COVID-19 provides a first sketch of how the structural changes accelerated by the pandemic have reimagined and reformed the roles of the State and businesses. As businesses in the region resume economic activity, Asian governments and enterprises are in a unique position to define and structure the “new normal”, providing Germany, Europe and the rest of the world a tentative template of how to respond to these unprecedented challenges.
