EDS as the official student organisation of the European People’s Party (EPP), represents a platform that brings together young leaders from across Europe and actively contributes to strengthening democratic values, political education, and European integration. In this spirit, the Winter University will bring together young political leaders, professionals and policymakers, enabling the exchange of ideas and building a shared vision for the development of the societies by 2030.
The program of the event includes an intensive agenda of discussions and working sessions dedicated to key topics such as security and stability in the region, economic policies and investments, European integration and geopolitical challenges, as well as energy security and the green transition. Particular attention is given to the role of youth in policymaking, demographic trends, and the impact of digitalisation on education and society, opening space for active debate and participation of the new generation of decision-makers.
Within the framework of the event, high-level representatives from the state and political leadership will deliver addresses, including the official representative of KAS Daniel Braun, the President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, together with several ministers, members of parliament, and experts from various fields.
The EDS Winter University represents an important platform for networking, exchange of experiences and strengthening regional cooperation, with a clear focus on the European future of the Western Balkans and the role of young people as drivers of positive societal change.
