The Government of Angola’s ambition for wide-ranging reforms to diversify the economy away from oil, increase foreign and domestic investment and promote development of the private sector is impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on commodity prices. There is also increasing recognition that economic recovery in Angola must be inclusive and environmentally sustainable, supporting citizens’ incomes and livelihoods.
At this virtual Angola Forum, speakers will discuss the policy priorities for promoting sustainable economic recovery and resilience beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, and how to broaden space for civic engagement and inclusion in economic policy formulation and outcomes.
This event will be held in English and Portuguese with simultaneous interpretation.
