The study "The jihadist threat in northern Ghana and Togo: Stocktaking and prospects for containing the expansion" was conducted by the regional programme Political Dialogue in West Africa (PDWA) of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with PROMEDIATION. The study focuses on recent developments in the jihadist terrorist threat in the north of Ghana and Togo and is a continuation of the study " North of the countries of the Gulf of Guinea - The new frontier for jihadist groups" published in 2021.

Auf dem außerordentlichen Parteitag der Partido Popular in Sevilla wurde Alberto Núñez Feijóo am 2. April 2022 von 98,35% der Delegierten zum neu-en Parteivorsitzenden gewählt. Der Galizier will Ministerpräsident Pedro Sánchez bei den kommenden Parlamentswahlen, die spätestens im Herbst 2023 stattfinden werden, besiegen. Mit einem neuen Parteivorstand will er zugleich Kompetenz und Kontinuität vermitteln, aber auch ein größeres Mit-spracherecht der Regionalverbände ermöglichen. Angesichts des zersplitter-ten und polarisierten Parteiensystems und der politischen Krisenherde wird sich zeigen, ob Feijóos Strategie, mit einer ausgleichenden Politik der Mitte die kommenden Wahlen zu gewinnen, aufgeht.
