It goes on to emphasize the need for security governance approaches and frameworks that are flexible and adaptive to changing security landscapes. In doing so, the Policy Forum exemplifies the European Union’s (EU) pursuit of such a framework to effectively address these changes, in the form of the EU Centres of Excellence Initiative on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation.

Sie wurden begleitet von Gerald Knaus, dem Vorsitzenden der Europäischen Stabilitätsinitiative (ESI), sowie von Anna Wasserfall, Länderreferentin für Westafrika und Sicherheit im Regionalteam Subsahara-Afrika und Christian Bilfinger, Referent für Flüchtlings- und Migrationspolitik der Stiftung.

Die serbisch-türkischen Beziehungen im Fokus

Warum die EU die Kooperation zwischen Serbien, der Türkei und Russland aufmerksam beobachten sollte

Bei dem Besuch des russischen Staatspräsidenten Wladimir Putins im Januar 2019 in Belgrad ging es unter anderem um TurkStream. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Erdgaspipeline, die russisches Erdgas in die Türkei liefert und bis Ende 2020 auch in Serbien ihren Betrieb aufnehmen soll. TurkStream wird schon Ende 2019 Erdgas in die Türkei liefern und könnte damit bald auch zu einem erfolgreichen Investitionsprojekt unter russischer Führung mit türkischer und serbischer Beteiligung werden. Diese Zusammenarbeit der auf dem Balkan sonst in Konkurrenz auftretenden Russischen Föderation und der Türkei ist für die Europäische Union ein Anlass zur erhöhten Aufmerksamkeit.

Folketingwahlen in Dänemark bringen Politikwechsel

Sozialdemokraten gewinnen dänische Parlamentswahl mit umstrittenem Spagat

Am 5. Juni 2019 hat Dänemark am Tag des Grundgesetzes ein neues Parlament (Folketing) gewählt. Klarer Sieger wurden die Sozialdemokraten mit der Parteivorsitzenden und Spitzenkandidatin Mette Frederiksen, die somit als jüngste Regierungschefin in die Geschichte Dänemarks eingehen kann. Insgesamt kam der so genannte „Rote Block“ auf eine Mehrheit von 52,2 Prozent. Der bürgerlich-liberale „Blaue Block“ kam hingegen auf 47,6 Prozent.
