Secretariat of the Senate (SOS)

SOS is affiliated with the National Assembly but acts as an independent agency. It is mainly responsible for the administration and coordination of the work of the Senate as well as the relationship between the Senate and other institutions. SOS also implements studies to improve the internal organisation of the Senate and ability to support it. Furthermore, it expands public knowledge on the parlamentary democratic system. Since 2001 KAS and SOS have commonly organised seminars and workshops as well as promoted an exchange of German and Thai professionals of the legislative.
