On 5-6 December 2025, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in the Republic of Moldova organized the workshop “Communication, Strategy & Leadership” for scholars of the KAS Sur‑Place programme. The event brought together 15 scholarship holders from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, selected for their civic engagement and leadership potential.
The intensive programme aimed to strengthen skills in strategic communication, leadership and strategic thinking - essential competences for young professionals who aspire to contribute to Moldova’s civic, institutional and political life.
Throughout the two-day workshop, participants engaged in expert-led sessions, practical exercises and case studies. Topics included public messaging, media relations, storytelling in institutional communication and the role of leaders in shaping narratives and strategic vision.
A special highlight of the programme was the thematic discussion with Adrian Băluțel, Member of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and graduate of the KAS Sur‑Place programme, who shared insights on Moldova’s civic and political transformation.
The second day focused on strategic thinking and institutional planning. Participants explored fundamental concepts of strategy, phases of strategy development and implementation, and the connection between institutional strategy and public communication.
Through this workshop, KAS Sur‑Place scholars strengthened their communication, strategic analysis and leadership skills, gaining practical tools for effective civic and institutional engagement.
