On 24 June 2026, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov paid a working visit to Berlin, organised with the support of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. The visit provided an important framework for strengthening the political dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and Germany at a crucial stage in Moldova’s European integration process.
During the visit, Cristina Gherasimov held meetings with representatives of German institutions, including Minister of State for Europe Gunther Krichbaum, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Johann Saathoff, Members of the Bundestag Roderich Kiesewetter and Tilman Kuban, as well as members of the Bundestag Committee on European Union Affairs.
An important part of the visit was the meeting with Mark Speich, Secretary General of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, during which recent developments in the Republic of Moldova’s European path, reform priorities and the importance of maintaining strong political and institutional support from European partners were discussed.
For the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Republic of Moldova, supporting the country’s European path is one of the central priorities of our work. By promoting dialogue, exchange of experience and cooperation between institutions in the Republic of Moldova and Germany, we aim to contribute to strengthening democracy, the rule of law and the institutional capacity needed to advance the EU accession process.
Germany remains a reliable partner of the Republic of Moldova and an important supporter of the country’s European future. In this context, KAS Moldova will continue to create platforms for dialogue and cooperation that bring the Republic of Moldova closer to the European family.
