On 17 December 2025, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in the Republic of Moldova hosted the annual gathering of the KAS Sur-Place community – the Community Forum “Generations in Dialogue”. The event brought together current scholarship holders, programme alumni and partners of the foundation, creating a platform for dialogue between generations of the Sur-Place network.
The meeting aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences between current scholars and alumni, highlighting the contribution of the Sur-Place programme to the development of a community of young professionals engaged in public, institutional and civic life. As part of the interactive activity “Reflecting together”, participants discussed in small groups the impact of the programme on their professional development and reflected on future perspectives for the Sur-Place community.
A central element of the programme was the discussion panel “Generations in Dialogue: Experiences and Perspectives”, with KAS alumni Daniel Vodă, Igor Zaharov and Michelle Iliev. The speakers shared insights into their professional trajectories and reflected on how the Sur-Place programme contributed to the development of leadership skills, public communication competences and civic engagement.
The event also included the graduation ceremony of the KAS Sur-Place scholars of the 2024-2025 cohort. The ceremony marked their transition into the programme’s alumni network and highlighted the continuity of the Sur-Place community as a platform for dialogue, cooperation and professional exchange.
Through such initiatives, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung reaffirms its commitment to supporting a vibrant community of young leaders and professionals dedicated to strengthening democratic values, public dialogue and civic responsibility in the Republic of Moldova.
