Asset Publisher

Details

What does climate change mean for security in the Indo-Pacific region? How does the climate discourse fit into current geopolitical challenges? Can Australia and Germany learn from each other in the area of climate security?

We will discuss these and other questions together with current KAS Asia & Pacific Fellow Dr. Robert Glasser from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) and German experts.

Robert Glasser is a world-renowned expert on climate change issues and their indirect impacts on a wide range of other areas, particularly foreign and security policy. He was previously the United Nations Special Representative for Disaster Risk Reduction and has been an adviser to the Australian Government and ministries for several years. In his current work, he focuses on the interaction of climate change and geopolitical security policy.

The event will be held in English.
