During the ceremony, participants were addressed by HDZ Secretary-General Krunoslav Katičić, Minister of Science, Education and Youth, Radovan Fuchs, Director of the ZHDZ, Srećko Prusina, and Head of the Political Academy Ivo Ivančić. The programme also featured contributions from the two top-performing participants of the 19th generation, Kristijan Đurđević and Karlo Maximilijan Jelača, as well as Tin Jurak, President of the HDZ Youth organisation.
The ceremony was followed by the launch of the programme for the 20th generation of the Political Academy. The first module of the new generation marked the continuation of the Academy’s political education programme and its efforts to connect young people interested in political and civic engagement.
As part of the event, a panel discussion entitled “International Security and Geostrategic Perspectives” was held, focusing on current security challenges, geopolitical developments, and the role of Croatia, the European Union and transatlantic institutions. The panel featured Davor Božinović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia; Ivica Lučić, Rector of the University of Defence and Security “Dr Franjo Tuđman Karlo Ressler, Member of the European Parliament, and Matea Obajdin, alumna of the 14th generation of the Political Academy.
The event brought together party representatives, representatives of the ZHDZ, lecturers, alumni and participants from different generations, providing an opportunity for exchanging experiences and discussing current international, security and political issues. With the Certificate Handover to the 19th generation and the launch of the programme for the 20th generation, the Political Academy continued its ongoing work and commitment to political education.
