1. Project Objectives
The WANA-KAS Think Tank School offers a comprehensive learning experience, aiming to provide participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and mentorship to engage in public policy debates and contribute effectively to policy-making processes.
The programme aims to:
- Provide participants with a distinctive opportunity to grow and enhance their policy thinking, writing and analysis skills for professional development and engage in topics relevant to their local or regional communities.
- Foster a cohort of professionals aware of the critical social, economic and legal issues in their respective fields, who can effectively drive positive change and promote their work within their organisations and community.
2. Programme Structure
The programme will kick off with an inception workshop consisting of four training days, equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake their selected outputs effectively. Following this, participants will engage with experts in the field through monthly speaker sessions that cover various topics relevant to advancing and excelling in their work. Participants will also produce outputs, either individually or in groups, which could include writing a policy brief, a fact sheet, or an opinion piece. Participants will present their outputs at a reception event at the end of the programme.
3. Target Group
The programme will support six early-career professionals from think tanks, civil society organisations, or relevant public institutions to develop their policy analysis, writing, and research skills.
