Climate Platform: A New Effort to Combat Climate Change in the Republic of Moldova

Climate Platform

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with the NGO EcoVisio, is pleased to announce the launch of the Climate Platform in the Republic of Moldova, an initiative aimed at bringing together stakeholders—government institutions, NGOs, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and climate activists—to address the urgent challenges of climate change and adaptation. The platform seeks to stimulate collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and propose sustainable solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change in the region.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the project’s ongoing mission to foster democratic education and civic engagement among Moldovan students.

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Office in the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the Museum Berlin-Karlshorst and the National Association of Young Historians of Moldova, organized throughout 2025 a series of exhibitions on the theme “The Division of Europe. The Consequences of the Ribbentrop–Molotov Pact (Hitler–Stalin).” The authors of this travelling exhibition, created to mark 85 years since the signing of the Ribbentrop–Molotov Pact (Hitler–Stalin), are the Museum Berlin-Karlshorst and the Chair of Eastern European History at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.

Through initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic institutions, encouraging civic engagement, and promoting dialogue with European partners, KAS Moldova contributes to reinforcing the foundations necessary for Moldova’s progress on its European path and to improving public understanding of the European Union accession process. These initiatives have been developed both in partnership with civil society organizations and in cooperation with the Bureau for European Integration.

Between 11–13 November 2025, for the second consecutive year, the International Moldova Forum (IFM) took place in Chișinău under the theme “The Year 1944 and Its Consequences – Local Perspectives.” The event was organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) Office in the Republic of Moldova and the Institute for German Culture and History of Southeastern Europe (IKGS) at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Culture and History of Germans in Eastern Europe (BKGE) in Oldenburg, the State University of Moldova, and the “Ion Creangă” State Pedagogical University.

У 2000 році Центр Разумкова вперше в незалежній Україні провів масштабне соціологічне дослідження церковно-релігійної ситуації в Україні «Церква і суспільство в Україні: проблеми взаємовідносин». Увага Центру до міжконфесійних, міжцерковних та державно-церковних відносин протягом першого десятиліття незалежності Української держави зумовлювалася їх складністю, напруженістю, багатоманіттям наявних проблем та значним конфліктогенним потенціалом. Відтоді Центр Разумкова регулярно здійснює дослідження у партнерстві з Фондом Конрада Аденауера в Україні. Вони не припинялись і під час повномасштабної російської агресії проти України і є важливим джерелом знань про сучасне українське суспільство і тенденції його розвитку. Дослідження показує трансформації релігійної самоідентифікації, суспільної довіри до Церкви та ролі релігійних організацій у воєнний час, надає фактичну картину релігійного ландшафту України станом на 2025 рік.
