Recommendations emerging from the seminar such as:
• Strengthen national interoperability standards and integrated government data systems: Accelerate the development of unified citizen access portal and cross-agency data exchange mechanisms to address fragmented databases and reduce multi-app ecosystem.
• Enhance cybersecurity frameworks: Establish mechanisms for algorithmic transparency and personal data protection in line with international standards.
• Invest in human capital and digital skills development: Promote AI and digital literacy among civil servants, educators, students, and citizens to support Thailand’s long-term digital transformation.
• Promote inclusive Smart City and local governance initiatives: Support municipalities and local authorities through funding mechanisms, shared digital platforms, and technical knowledge transfer to ensure sustainable AI and digital innovation at the local level.
• Strengthen digital governance and civic participation: Advance the use of Civic Tech or digital platforms to enhance transparency and citizen participation in public-policy design and implementation.
The aim is to support Thailand’s transition toward an efficient, transparent, and inclusive digital government, while simultaneously strengthening national competitiveness, improving the quality of public services, and fostering long-term trust between the state and citizens in the age of AI.
