The articles provide a comprehensive account of the Lebanese Judiciary, its legal framework, procedures and challenges. Topics are i.a., the composition of the High Judicial Council, its competences and financial resources, the nomination and transfer of judges, the Institute for Judicial Studies, disciplinary proceedings and sanctions, evaluation, prosecution, interference in judicial affairs, budget allocated to the judiciary, the judicial code of ethics, freedom of expression and association of judges and the sectarian distribution of judges.
