Yerevan in Europe’s Spotlight

One month before Armenia’s parliamentary elections, Europe’s heads of state and government convene in Yerevan for the European Political Community summit, followed by the first EU–Armenia Summit.

Amid heightened geopolitical tensions and just weeks before pivotal parliamentary elections, Europe looks towards Armenia in early May 2026. Yerevan will host a cluster of high-level formats—the European Political Community, the first-ever EU–Armenia summit, and the Yerevan Dialogue—signaling Armenia’s strategic repositioning and highlighting Europe’s growing engagement and influence in the South Caucasus at a critical regional crossroads for all sides.
