On 31 August, the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, with the support of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Thailand Office, organised the workshop “Capacity Building for Parliamentary Officials – SMART Organisation and SMART Parliament with Generative AI.” The programme brought together around 130 parliamentary executives, officials, employees, and observers to explore how generative AI can be applied to support parliamentary work.
The training reflects the importance of developing a learning organisation that is able to adapt to technological change while using new tools thoughtfully and effectively. During the morning session, participants were introduced to working in the digital age, different forms of digital media, the fundamentals and capabilities of AI, and techniques for developing more effective prompts. The afternoon session focused on hands-on practice, with participants exploring how AI can be used for data recording and storage, providing information through AI chatbots, and creating infographics, presentation materials, images, and videos.
