At the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, and the Pentagon, discussions focused on emerging security threats, intelligence cooperation, and the evolving role of alliances in a shifting geopolitical environment. Particular attention was given to transatlantic coordination, burden-sharing, and the implications of political developments in the United States for long-term security cooperation. Further meetings were held at think tanks like the Hudson Institute.
The program also included a visit to NATO’s Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk, Va., where exchanges with senior military leaders and strategic planners focused on future-oriented defense challenges.
