Scope and Thematic Areas
The book will include chapters addressing key global themes, including (but not limited to) key global transformations across interconnected domains, including shifting dynamics in international politics, evolving trade and economic strategies, the role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and biotechnology, and their implications for governance and public good. It will also explore questions of leadership and inclusion, particularly women’s political participation, alongside changing security and defence paradigms, maritime geopolitics, and the strategic evolution of major powers. Further, the book will examine the growing significance of Indo-European engagement and the influence of youth-led political movements in shaping future trajectories. Contributors are encouraged to adopt interdisciplinary, comparative, and forward-looking approaches that generate globally relevant insights.
Eligibility Criteria
Proposals are invited only from organisations that meet the following requirements:
•Must be legally registered and possess valid FCRA certification.
•Must demonstrate prior experience in research, publications or policy-oriented projects.
•Must nominate a lead editor/project coordinator responsible for overall execution.
•Must ensure that each chapter is authored by a recognised domain expert with demonstrated expertise and publication record in the respective field.
•Must demonstrate the institutional capacity to submit the final manuscript by December 2026.
Roles and Responsibilities
The selected organisation will:
•Develop and refine the conceptual framework and chapter structure in consultation with KAS India.
•Identify and onboard qualified subject experts for each chapter.
•Ensure academic quality, coherence, and consistency across chapters.
•Oversee writing, peer review, editing and submission processes.
•Deliver a complete manuscript within the agreed timeline.
•Ensure that the book is published by a well-known publisher and carries a valid ISBN number
•Submit a detailed Fund Utilisation Certificate (FUC), including a comprehensive breakdown of all expenses incurred during the project.
Guidelines & Requirements for Proposals
Proposals (3–4 pages) should include:
•Concept Note: A clear vision for the volume, including its intellectual contribution and proposed analytical framework.
•Indicative Chapter Plan: Proposed chapter titles/themes along with identified or potential authors (if available).
•Timeline: Key milestones from project initiation to final submission (deadline: December 2026).
•Financial Proposal: Detailed budget in INR, including professional fees, editorial costs and research expenses.
